Professional Profile Joe Briner is a Principal with Grisanti, Galef & Goldress (GGG), a management turnaround firm with a 50-year history as a trusted resource for financial guidance. Mr. Briner brings 23 years experience as a senior financial services executive in privately-held and public banks including the role of CEO. He has managed, negotiated or originated over $3 billion in traditional bank financing and has participated in several hundred million dollars in equity and other financing. In his career he has worked with hundreds of businesses as diverse as technology, manufacturing, distributing, primary metals, financial services, venture capital, hedge funds, retail, professional services, non-profits and real estate to establish effective financial structures for their enterprises.
Professional History Prior to joining GGG, Mr. Briner served as President, CEO and director of Alpha Bank & Trust from 2005 to 2008. As the bank’s founder, he led the regulatory approval process and the record setting capital raise of $35 million. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Briner was the Market Executive for Bank of America’s Private Bank in Georgia managing nearly 100 employees and leading the turnaround of a multi-year revenue slide. In prior roles he worked with a wide variety of enterprises and individuals to create viable financial solutions. For several years he served as a commercial lender working mostly with privately-held businesses with revenue of $2 million to $200 million.
